The invention provides a means of remedying the effect of frost heaving beneath freezer installations by drilling generally horizontal holes in the subsoil and inserting a casing in which fluid conduit lines are installed. Heated fluids such as glycol are circulated through the heating lines to warm the subsurface soil and eliminate the frost which causes heaving.
