A process for forming a granular resin comprising: dispersing a catalyst in an alkane solvent, under substantially anhydrous conditions, to form a slurry in a reaction vessel, wherein the catalyst comprises a support, a transition metal and aluminium; maintaining the slurry at an absolute pressure below 1000 psi (6.9 MPa) and a temperature of 20 °C to 100 °C; introducing ethylene and an alpha olefin of 3 to 10 carbon atoms, into the reaction vessel, wherein the partial pressure of ethylene ranges from 20 to 1000 psi (0.14 to 69 MPa); and recovering granular resin exhibiting a bulk density of 15 to 36 lb/ft3 (240 to 580 Kg/m3), a specific density of less than 0.98g/cc, an MFR of less tnan about 30.
