Improved derivatives having the Formula (I). Wherein: R is a branched or straight chain alkyl group containing from 6 to 10 carbon atoms, Z is O or N [list any other atoms that are suitable, and when X is O, an acetal or hemiacetal thereof that provide perfumes and other articles of manufacture, e.g., include candles, air fresheners, perfumes, disinfectant compositions, hypochlorite (bleach) compositions, beverages such as beer and soda, denture cleanser tablets and flavored orally-delivered products such as lozenges, candies, and the like with a mild, sweet, floral odor with herbaceous undertones odor, finding particular utility in applications requiring jasmine, gardenia, tuberose and magnolia floral themes.

L'invention concerne des dérivés améliorés représentés par la formule générale (I) dans laquelle R désigne un groupe alkyle à chaîne ramifiée ou droite contenant 6 à 10 atomes de carbone, Z désigne un atome d'oxygène ou d'azote, et, lorsque Z désigne un atome d'oxygène, un acétal ou un hémi-acétal de ce dernier.
