The present invention relates to a method for determining likelihood of an individual of developing a psychiatric disorder. More particularly, the method of the invention is based on the identification of genetic variations in genes involved in the modulation of melatonin and their consequences on such pathway for the determination of wether an individual is susceptible of being afflicted by a psychiatric disorder such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD), Attention Deficits and Hyper Activity Disorder (ADHD) and anorexia.
La présente invention concerne une méthode destinée à déterminer la probabilité qu'un individu développe un trouble psychiatrique. Plus particulièrement, la méthode de l'invention consiste à identifier des variations génétiques dans des gènes impliqués dans la modulation de la mélatonine et leurs conséquences sur cette voie en vue de la détermination d'une prédisposition d'un individu à développer un trouble psychiatrique tel que les troubles du spectre de l'autisme (TSA), le trouble d'hyperactivité avec déficit de l'attention (THADA) et l'anorexie.
