The present invention relates to a method for increasing a temperature gradient in a magnetocaloric thermal generator that comprises magnetocaloric members submitted to a magnetic field variation. The method is characterised in that it comprises carrying out at least one preheating and/or pre-cooling of the magnetocaloric members (60) in order to modify their initial temperature before and/or after the magnetic field variation before reaching the maximum and/or minimum field value. The invention can be used for heating, tempering, air-conditioning or cooling applications in any industrial or domestic facility.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour accroître le gradient de température dans un générateur thermique magnétocalorique comportant des éléments magnétocaloriques soumis à une variation de champ magnétique. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on effectue au moins un préchauffage et/ou un pré-refroidissement des éléments magnétocaloriques (60) pour modifier leur température initiale avant et/ou pendant la variation de champ magnétique avant d'atteindre la valeur de champ maximale et/ou minimale. Applications : Chauffage, tempérage, climatisation, réfrigération dans toute installation industrielle ou domestique.
