A scaffolding plank of substantially constant strength capacity is disclosed. The plank is comprised of a plurality of elongated dry lumber pieces having opposed flat parallel surfaces and laminated together in side-by-side relationship by a bonding material whereby to form an elongated rectangular plank having a flat top and bottom surface. At least some of the laminated boards in the plank are formed by board pieces being interconnected by a splice at adjacent ends thereof. Transverse restraining connections may be provided to maintain the boards in clamped side-by-side relationship.
