The present invention relates to a toothpaste which comprises particulate calcium carbonate as the main abrasive cleaning agent. By using a mixture of relatively fine particulate calcium carbonate with a certain level of relatively coarse particulate calcium carbonate, the toothpaste provides for a reduced RDA while maintaining the same cleaning efficacy in comparison with the use of only the relatively fine particulate calcium carbonate.

Cette invention se rapporte à une pâte dentifrice qui contient du carbonate de calcium particulaire comme agent nettoyant abrasif principal. En utilisant un mélange de carbonate de calcium à particules relativement fines avec une certaine quantité de carbonate de calcium à particules relativement grossières, on obtient une pâte dentifrice ayant une valeur RDA (abrasion relative de la dentine) réduite, tout en conservant la même efficacité de nettoyage, comparée à une pâte dentifrice n'utilisant que du carbonate de calcium à particules relativement fines.
