The invention relates to a door leaf for external sliding doors of railway, high-speed railway, and subway cars, which are composed of a frame (5) and of an at least partially transparent panel (4) of glass or plastic, which is optionally provided in a number of pieces. In order to provide more safety for passengers, the panel (4) is placed on the inside of the frame (5).
