COVER FOR POP TOP CAN ABSTRACT beverage container closure is provided for resealing beverage containers of the type having a peripheral rim encompassing a slightly recessed, apertured end wall through which the contents of the container are dispensed. The closure device includes a sealing member, or cover, constructed so as to sealably engage the rim portions of various sizes of containers and a cooperating interlocking mechanism which is adapted to be inserted through a dispensing aperture in the end wall of the container, and is constructed so that when it is inserted a portion of the interlocking mechanism is brought into engagement with the inner surface of the container end wall in a manner as to urge the cover into tight sealing engagement with the rim of the container. 1
