The invention relates to a tool for assisting in cutting the conductors of an electrical cable to a precise length. According to the invention, the tool (T) consists of a body (8), said body being pierced with a channel (10) which is orthogonal to a reference face (9) and which is equipped with a shoulder (11). The distance (D) between the shoulder (11) and the reference face (9) is equal to the desired length of the end portions of the conductors of the electrical cable outside the outer insulating sheath thereof.

Selon l'invention, ledit outil (T) comporte un corps (8) percé d'un canal (10), orthogonal à une face de référence (9) et comportant un épaulement (11). La distance (D) entre l'épaulement (11) et la face de référence (9) est égale à la longueur désirée pour les portions d'extrémité des conducteurs dudit câble électrique hors de la gaine isolante externe de celui-ci.
