There are provided a telephone interpretation system and a telephone interpretation method capable of performing rapid and accurate interpretation without preventing a speech of speaker or grasp of interpreted content by a partner even if an interpreter performs simultaneous interpretation during a speech of a caller or a call destination. The telephone interpretation system (100) receives a call from a caller terminal (10) by a control device (110), references an interpreter registration table (112) to extract a terminal number of an interpreter capable of performing interpretation between a language of a caller and a language of a call destination, and connects the caller terminal (10), a call destination terminal (20), and an interpreter terminal (30). Moreover, the system has a function for performing audio communication required for interpretation between the terminals. The audio of the interpreter is transmitted to the caller or the call destination by an audio switch (168) as is specified by the interpreter terminal and the audio of the conversation partner is suppressed or cut off when the interpreter audio is detected in audio synthesis devices (124, 144), thereby providing a rapid and appropriate interpretation service.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé d'interprétation téléphonique vidéo permettant de prendre en charge un cas urgent sans que l'appelant soit obligé de rechercher un interprète à l'avance, de négocier une destination d'appel, de minimiser les heures de service de l'interprète et de réduire les coûts du service d'interprétation. Le système d'interprétation téléphonique vidéo (100) reçoit un appel provenant d'un terminal appelant (10) via un dispositif de commande (110), référence une table d'enregistrement d'interprète (112) afin d'obtenir le numéro de terminal d'un interprète, capable d'interpréter le langage de l'appelant dans le langage de l'appelé, et connecte le terminal de l'appelant (10), le terminal de l'appelé (20) et le terminal de l'interprète (30). Le système possède en outre une fonction de communication vidéo et vocale requise pour l'interprétation entre les terminaux. La partie vocale de l'interprète est transmise à l'appelant ou vers l'appelé par un commutateur audio (174), selon spécification du terminal de l'interprète, et la partie vocale du partenaire de conversation est supprimée, ou arrêtée, lorsque la partie vocale de l'interprète est détectée dans des dispositifs de synthèse vocale (130, 150), ce qui permet de disposer d'un service rapide et adéquat d'interprétation.
