A modular cushion (10) comprising a shaped base (12) which has a flat rear portion (20) and a raised front portion (21) with angularly directed valleys (26) and a raised pommel (25) to direct weight to the thighs and in combination with a resilient pad (13) positioned on the flat portion (20) of the base (12) to relieve pressure on the ischia and trochanters and in combination with a cover (11) having a non-skid undersurface (46) and a potion of the top (55) being two-way stretchable. The resilient pad (13) may be of inflatable cells (14) having a pyramidal shape with a flattened top. A U-shaped restraining member (90) may be positioned at the front of the base (12) with upwardly projected sides (92) to retain the legs of the user.
