The invention relates to a medical device for use under MRI conditions, comprising a body containing para and/or ferromagnetic material. The para and/or ferromagnetic material has been received in separate elements which have substantially equal dimensions in three directions at right angles to one another. The relative distance between the elements is substantially such, that there is at least almost no magnetic interaction between adjoining elements.
