The improved apparatus which provides for the purification of industrial fumes and/or gases discharged from autovehicles, particularly autovehicles of great dimensions, in closed locals such as machine shops, garages and others, comprises container (1) which may be of spherical shape and which is divided into a lower part and an upper part. The minute diffusion of the fumes or gases takes place in the lower part in an aqueous solution together with a first filtration while the upper part provides for the final filtration through filters (21) which are adequately soaked with oil by means of rollers, the rollers being dragged by a vertical shaft (19), this vertical shaft being maintained in slow rotation by a geared motor (20).
