A Metal-Clad cable that includes at least two conductor assemblies within a metal armored sheath. Each conductor assembly has an electrical conductor, an insulation layer extending around and along the length of each of the electrical conductors, a jacket layer disposed around the insulating layer and a polymeric protective layer disposed around the jacket layer along the length of each of the electrical conductors. A grounding/bonding strip is disposed within the cable and is in intimate contact with an interior surface of the metal sheath. If a grounding conductor is used, it is either in cabled relationship with the two conductor assemblies or is disposed along the length of the electrical conductors and the metal sheath is disposed over the at least two conductor assemblies and the grounding conductor.

Linvention concerne un câble à gaine métallique comprenant au moins deux ensembles de conducteurs à lintérieur dun gainage à armature métallique. Chaque ensemble de conducteurs comprend un conducteur électrique, une couche isolante qui sétend autour et le long de chacun des conducteurs électriques, une couche denveloppe disposée autour de la couche isolante et une couche de protection en polymère disposée autour de la couche denveloppe sur la longueur de chacun des conducteurs électriques. Une bande de mise à la masse / de liaison est disposée à lintérieur du câble et se trouve en contact étroit avec une surface intérieure du gainage métallique. Si un conducteur de mise à la masse est utilisé, il se trouve en relation câblée avec les deux ensembles de conducteurs ou alors il est disposé sur la longueur des conducteurs électriques et le gainage métallique est disposé sur lesdits deux ensembles de conducteurs et le conducteur de mise à la masse.
