ABSTRACT There is disclosed an electrode assembly for a high-frequency heating and coagulating apparatus which includes a planar electrode having a terminal which is connected to a high-frequency power supply, and a working face in the form of a flat or convex surface. The apparatus also has a hollow cooling chamber for cooling the working face from the back side thereof. The planar electrode and hollow cooling chamber being formed integrally with each other.
