A method of curing polyester resin powder coating composition comprises reacting a polyester resin with an organometallic compound which is an alkoxy aluminium complex of an alkanolamine having a ratio of alkanolamino radicals to aluminium atoms in the range 0.3:1 to 16:1. In a particular embodiment the organometallic compound is a mixed metal complex derived from at least one aluminium alkoxide and at least one titanium alkoxide, the atomic ratio of Al:Ti being in the range 0.3:1 to 2:1. The compositions cure more quickly than known compositions containing titanium or zirconium compounds of alkanolamines and the cured coatings are less prone to yellowing.
