The aim of the invention is to develop methods, devices and support profiles that are configured to match the method and device, said profiles being used to attach a support section for rubber seals to automobile body parts in the shortest possible time with the minimum of tools and personnel. In addition, the methods and devices should be adaptable in such a way that modifications to the geometry of the sealing section and in particular to the contours of the body parts can be accommodated without long stoppages of the assembly line. The support sections and connecting regions must also mould to all the contours of the automobile bodywork, in particular the corner regions, and must permit the attachment of various sealing regions and the application of extreme detachment forces. To achieve these aims, the support section (1, 9) for the sealing section (11) is attached to the support surface (4) in one single operation. The sub-steps of said operation are carried out by an industrial robot. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, adhesive is applied to the support section (1, 9) during the production of the latter.
L'invention concerne des perfectionnements apportés à des procédés, des dispositifs, ainsi qu'à des profilés supports adaptés aux procédé et dispositifs, permettant d'appliquer en un minimum de temps et avec une faible dépense en outillage et en main d'oeuvre, un profilé support pour joints en caoutchouc sur des éléments de carrosserie automobile. Les procédés et les dispositifs doivent par ailleurs pouvoir être adaptés de telle façon qu'on puisse réagir à toutes modifications intervenant dans la géométrie du profil du joint et, en particulier, du profil des éléments de la carrosserie sans qu'il en résulte de longues période d'arrêt des chaînes de montage ; les profilés supports et les zones d'assemblage doivent être adaptés à tous les profils, y compris notamment les zones en coin de la carrosserie, et permettre l'application de zones étanches différentes et de forces de détachement élevées. A cet effet, l'application du profilé support (1, 9) pour le profil du joint (11) sur la surface support (4) s'effectue en une seule étape. Un robot industriel procède à l'exécution des étapes relatives à des travaux partiels. Selon une mise en oeuvre avantageuse de l'invention, le profilé support (1, 9) est muni, dès sa fabrication, d'un adhésif.
