A TV system is disclosed which includes the functions of Teletext, comprising a TV set and a teletext receiving and processing section which permits the editing and storing of data received through an antenna. The system determines whether a key interrupt indicates TV mode, teletext mode or data edit mode, and if it indicates TV mode or teletext mode, the associated function is executed according to a given process. A specific program stored in a memory means is executed if data edit and storing mode is selected, executing each of the programs for storing, fetching and editing the memo data on instruction. Programs for storing memo data, indicating cursor and switching character mode are executed if a first switch from TV mode or teletext mode to memo mode is instructed. The TV set is switched into TV mode on detecting a memo fetching key if the memo data edited and stored by the user is displayed on the TV screen. Memo identification and memo data is stored in the memory means if the memo storing mode is selected.
