Disclosed are methods of making anhydrous antiperspirant gel-solid stick compositions comprising a particulate antiperspirant active; a solid non- polymeric gellant that is substantially free of dibenzylidene alditol, n-acyl amino acid derivatives, organic polymeric gellants, and inorganic thickening agents; and an anhydrous liquid carrier having an average solubility parameter of from about 3 to about 13 (cal/cm3)0.5, wherein the composition has a visible residue index of from about 11 to about 30 L-value, a product hardness of from about 500 gram.force to about 5,000 gram.force, a ratio of an elastic to viscous moduli of from about 0.1 to about 100. The refractive indices of the particulate antiperspirant active, solid non-polymeric gellant, and anhydrous liquid carrier are not matched. The solid non-polymeric gellant is preferably a crystalline material having an average particle size of less than about 1 µm, and/or has an elongated particle morphology having an aspect ratio of greater than about 2. These antiperspirant gel-solid stick compositions made in accordance with the methods herein provide improved low residue performance, efficacy and aesthetics.

Les procédés décrits visent la production de compositions anhydres de bâtonnets antisudoraux de gel-solide comprenant un agent actif particulaire antisudoral; un gélifiant solide non polymère exempt de dibenzylidène alditol, de dérivés d'acide aminé n acyle, de gélifiants organiques polymères et d'agents épaississants inorganiques; et un support de liquide anhydre présentant un paramètre de solubilité moyenne s'échelonnant entre environ 3 et environ 13 (cal/cm?3¿)?0,5¿ où la composition a un indice résiduel visible d'une valeur d'environ 11 à environ 30, une dureté du produit d'environ 500 grammes-force à environ 5000 grammes-force, un rapport entre des modules élastiques et visqueux fluctuant entre environ 0.1 et environ 100. Il n'existe pas de correspondance entre les indices de réfraction de l'agent actif particulaire antisudoral, du gélifiant solide non polymère et du support liquide anhydre. Le gélifiant solide non polymère est de préférence une matière cristalline présentant une grosseur particulaire moyenne inférieure à environ µm, et/ou une morphologie de particule allongée présentant un rapport dimensionnel supérieur à 2. Lesdites compositions de bâtonnets de gel-solide antisudoraux fabriquées conformément aux procédés ci-décrits contribuent à une réduction accrue des résidus, ainsi qu'à une amélioration de l'efficacité et de l'esthétique.
