A woven slide fastener stringer which includes a row of coiled coupling elements woven into one longitudinal edge portion of a woven stringer tape with a stuffer cord and upper and lower core threads extending longitudinally through a space defined in the coupling elements. Foundation warp threads and a foundation weft thread laid in double picks cooperate with the upper core thread to weave upper legs in the longitudinal tape edge portion. Binding warp threads underlying lower legs and interlaced at appropriate positions with the foundation weft thread, and the lower core thread are interlaced with a binding weft thread laid in double picks to weave the lower legs into the longitudinal tape edge portion. The binding weft thread is thinner than the foundation weft thread and aligned in parallel juxtaposition with the foundation weft thread in a region of the stringer tape excluding the longitudinal tape edge portion. With this arrangement, the coupling elements can be firmly and stably secured to the longitudinal tape edge portion, and the stringer has a desired flexibility.
La présente invention se rapporte à une demi-chaîne tissée pour fermeture à glissière comprenant une rangée d'éléments de couplage spiralés tissés en vue de former la bordure longitudinale d'un ruban de demi-chaîne tissée avec cordon de remplissage et fils d'âme supérieur et inférieur se prolongeant dans le sens longitudinal pour traverser un espace défini dans les éléments de couplage. Des fils de chaîne de fond et un fil de trame de fond, posés en duite double, sont associés au fil d'âme supérieur pour tisser des tiges supérieures dans la bordure longitudinale du ruban. Des fils de chaîne façonnée, sous-jacents aux tiges inférieures, sont entrelacés, en des positions appropriées, avec le fil de trame de fond, et le fil d'âme inférieur est entrelacé avec le fil de trame façonnée, posé en duite double, pour tisser les tiges inférieures dans la bordure longitudinale du ruban. Le fil de trame façonnée est plus mince que le fil de trame de fond et il est juxtaposé parallèlement au fil de trame de fond dans une portion du ruban de demi-chaîne autre que la bordure longitudinale du ruban. Dans cette configuration, les éléments de couplage peuvent être stabilisés et fixés solidement à la bordure longitudinale du ruban et la demi-chaîne présente les caractéristiques de souplesse désirées.
