Novel fire-retardant electrolyte compositions are provided. These compositions comprise a lithium salt dissolved in a fire-retardant solvent selected from the group consisting of phosphates, cyclophosphazenes, silanes, fluorinated carbonates, fluorinated polyethers and mixtures thereof. The electrolyte composition optionally contains a CO2-generating compound. Also provided are fire-retardant batteries and fire-retardant conductive films formulated with such compositions, as well as methods of manufacturing such films.

Ces compositions contiennent un sel de lithium dissous dans un solvant ignifuge choisi parmi le groupe constitué des phosphates, des cyclophosphazènes, des silanes, des carbonates fluorés, des polyéthers fluorés et des mélanges de ces composés. Cette composition d'électrolyte contient, facultativement, un composé générateur de CO2. On divulgue aussi des piles ignifuges et des films conducteurs ignifuges fabriqués avec ces compositions, ainsi que des méthodes de fabrication de tels films.
