Catalyst particles are separated from the wax in a Fisher-Tropsch reactor by feeding a portion of the reactor slurry to a dynamic settler which does not require any pump. As the slurry flows down a pipe in the center of the settler, the slurry flows into the surrounding annular region at the bottom of the settler. The heavier catalyst particles settle down and are removed as the slurry at the bottom of the settler is recycled back to the reactor. The wax rises up in the annular section and this clarified wax is removed by a wax outlet pipe. In an embodiment with an expanded diameter section above the Fisher-Tropsch reactor an additional dynamic settler can be placed inside this section. The Fischer-Tropsch catalyst can be regenerated by purging the catalyst with an inert gas for a period of time and by treating the catalyst with naphtha.
Les particules catalytiques sont séparées de la cire dans un réacteur de Fischer-Tropsch et ce, par l'apport dans une cuve de coulée dynamique, ne nécessitant pas la présence d'une pompe, d'une partie du combustible en suspension. Quand ce combustible en suspension s'écoule par une canalisation dans le centre de la cuve de coulée, il est dirigé vers la périphérie du fond de la cuve. Les particules catalytiques les plus lourdes précipitent et sont extraites tandis que le combustible en suspension est recyclé vers le réacteur. La cire remonte dans la partie annulaire et, une fois clarifiée, elle est enlevée par une canalisation prévue à cet effet. Dans un mode de réalisation, le réacteur possède une zone à diamètre élargi, supérieur à celui d'un réacteur de Fischer-Tropsch, et une cuve de coulée dynamique supplémentaire est placée à l'intérieur de cette zone. Il est également possible de régénérer le catalyseur de Fischer-Tropsch en l'épurant au moyen d'un gaz inerte pendant un certain temps et en le traitant au naphte.
