A method and a device capable of protecting digital data reliably. Digital data are doubly re-encrypted by using a fixed key and a variable key. The order of using the encrypting keys is first the variable key and then the fixed key, or first the fixed key and then the variable key. The working examples are exemplified by one using a software, one using a hardware and one using a combination of a software and a hardware. The hardware can use a fixed key which has been developed for digital video. The software performs encryption/decryption in a region other than a kernel portion which cannot be used by the user so as to keep the safety of the program and the key used. Specifically, the encryption/decryption are performed by a filter driver in an I/O manager, a device driver serving as a disk driver/net driver and an RTOS utilizing an HAL. Either or both of two filter drivers on both sides of a file system driver can be used.
Procédé et dispositif capables de protéger des données numériques de manière fiable. Des données numériques sont doublement recryptées à l'aide d'une clé fixe et d'une clé variable. L'ordre d'utilisation des clés est d'abord la clé variable et ensuite la clé fixe ou vice versa. Les exemples illustrés concernent l'utilisation d'un logiciel, l'utilisation d'un matériel et l'utilisation d'une combinaison des deux. Le matériel peut utiliser une clé fixe qui a été mise au point pour la vidéo numérique. Le logiciel effectue le cryptage/décryptage dans une région autre qu'une partie noyau qui ne peut être utilisée par l'utilisateur afin de conserver la sécurité du programme et de la clé utilisée. Spécifiquement, le cryptage/décryptage est effectué par un circuit d'attaque de filtre dans un gestionnaire E/S, un pilote de périphérique servant d'unité de disque/pilote de réseau et un RTOS utilisant un HAL. L'un ou l'autre ou les deux circuits d'attaque de filtre des deux côtés d'un pilote de système de fichiers peuvent être utilisés.
