ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of and an apparatus for manufacturing of a laminated molded article, which is formed of a base body injection molded from a thermoplastic material and a cover layer, wherein an exposed surface of the finished base body which is retained by a closing side mold half is heated before the application of the cover layer thereto, and a transfer mold half, complementary to the closing side mold half, is brought into an overlapping position with the closing side mold half to press the cover layer onto the heated exposed surface of the base body.
