Water-soluble compounds as light stabilizers Abstract Compounds of the formula I U?SOL)n' (I) in which n' is a number from 1 to 4, U is a radical of a UV absorber of the hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole, hydroxybenzophenone, cinnamic acid or triazine type and SOL is a group of the formula Ia Image (Ia) The symbols in the formula Ia are as defined in claim 1. The compounds, which are in part novel, are suitable for use as light stabilizers, particularly for recording materials and inks for ink jet printing.
