An implement for automatically milking animals is provided with a milking robot including a robot arm (14; 26) which is adapted to carry teat cups (21). In the position of rest of the teat cups (21) on the robot arm (14; 26), at least the open upper sides of the teat cups (21) are guarded by a robot arm portion (19, 20). The teat cups (21) are movably disposed in this portion, each in an own housing (35), and can be adjusted from the inoperative position into an operative position and be connected therefrom to the teats of an animal to be milked.

Dans la position de repos des gobelets trayeurs (21) portés par le bras robotique (14; 26), au moins les extrémités supérieures ouvertes des gobelets trayeurs (21) sont protégées par une partie (19, 20) du bras robotique. Les gobelets trayeurs (21) sont montés mobiles dans cette partie, chacun dans un logement respectif (35), et peuvent se déplacer entre la position de repos et une position active d'où on peut les relier aux trayons de l'animal à traire.
