A curable thermoplastic elastomeric blend is disclosed comprising: (a) from 15 to 60 weight percent of a polyalkylene phthalate polyester polymer or copolymer and; (b) from 40 to 85 weight percent of a polyacrylate or polyethylene/acrylate rubber in combination with an effective amount of peroxide free-radical initiator and an organic diene co-agent to cross-link which upon extrusion or injection molding dynamically cross-link producing a melt processible thermoplastic elastomeric composition having a polyalkylene phthalate polyester polymer or copolymer continuous phase and a cross-linked polyacrylate or polyethylene/acrylate rubber disperse phase. Such compositions are useful in the manufacture of rubber parts having excellent resistance to lubricating oils and greases.
Cette invention concerne un mélange élastomère thermoplastique durcissable renfermant : (a) entre 15 et 60 % en poids d'un polymère ou copolymère de polyester de polyalkylène phtalate ; et (b) entre 40 et 85 % en poids d'un caoutchouc polyacrylate ou polyéthylène/acrylate combiné à une quantité efficace d'un initiateur à radicaux libres peroxyde et à un coagent diène organique permettant d'obtenir une réticulation dynamique pendant l'extrusion ou le moulage par injection, ce qui produit une composition élastomère thermoplastique fondue pouvant être traitée comprenant une phase continue de polymère ou copolymère de polyester de polyalkylène phtalate et une phase dispersée de caoutchouc polyacrylate ou polyéthylène/acrylate réticulé. Ces compositions sont utilisées pour fabriquer des pièces en caoutchouc présentant une excellente résistance aux huiles et aux graisses lubrifiantes.
