To provide a snowmobile in which an engine can be displaced rearwards. A characteristic feature lies in that a silencer is disposed on the front side of an engine, and a steering shaft lower portion of a steering shaft for transmitting a steering force from a steering handle to skis is passed between the silencer and the engine. The engine is laid out on the rear side relative to the steering shaft lower portion. Namely, the steering shaft lower portion is disposed on the front side of the engine, whereby the engine can easily be displaced rearwards.
