The present invention relates to new prostaglandin I analogous compounds represented by the following formula (I) and (II). (see formula I) (see formula II) wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or alkyl group, at least one of R2 and/or R2' is a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a group containing an aromatic group, a hydroxyl group or an alkoxy group provided that R2 and R2' are not simultaneously hydrogen atoms or a salt thereof. The compounds of the present invention are suitable for use as hypotensives.
