A resistivity logging tool includes one or more pads (307a, 307b, 307c, 307d) for making azimuthal resistivity measurements of earth formation. Current from the pads (307a, 307b, 307c, 307d), guard electrodes (331b, 331c, 331b', 331c') and a measure electrode are measured while monitoring the voltage difference between pairs of monitor electrodes (321a, 321b, 321a', 321b'). In addition, microelectrodes (309a, 309b) are provided on the pads for obtaining high resolution resistivity measurements.

L'invention concerne un outil de forage à résistivité comprenant un ou plusieurs dispositifs de mesure de la résistivité azimutale d'une formation terrestre. Le courant provenant desdits dispositifs, des électrodes de protection et d'une électrode de mesure est mesuré, et la différence de tension entre les paires d'électrodes de surveillance est surveillée.
