A device for performing surgery on a patient includes: a mesh patch comprising a top surface and a bottom surface; and a removable cover positioned adjacent to and in facing engagement with the bottom surface of the mesh patch. The bottom surface has a plurality of hooks positioned thereon. The cover is removed from the mesh patch as the mesh patch is positioned at a surgical site such that the hooks on the bottom of the mesh patch grip surrounding tissue of a patient and secure the mesh patch to surrounding tissue of the surgical site. A method for performing a surgery using such a device is also provided.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant de réaliser une chirurgie sur un patient, qui comprend les éléments suivants : un timbre transdermique à maille comportant une surface supérieure et une surface inférieure ; et un cache amovible positionné de manière adjacente à la surface inférieure du timbre transdermique à maille, et en contact face contre face avec ladite surface. La surface inférieure présente une pluralité de crochets positionnés dessus. Le cache est retiré du timbre à maille lorsque ledit timbre à maille est positionné sur un site chirurgical, de telle sorte que les crochets sur le côté inférieur du timbre transdermique à maille saisissent le tissu environnant d'un patient et fixent le timbre transdermique à maille au tissu environnant du site chirurgical.
