In a transmission, an oil chamber is formed between facing ends of an input and an output shaft. A first oil guide is provided at the end of the input shaft such that the cylindrical portion of the first oil guide is positioned in a lubrication passage which is provided in the input shaft. Similarly, a second oil guide is provided at the end of the output shaft such that the cylindrical portion is provided at the end of the output shaft and the cylindrical portion of the second oil guide is positioned in a lubrication passage which is provided in the output shaft. The input shaft has a release passage which opens to the outside of the input shaft while the output shaft has a release passage which opens to the outside of the output shaft.
