METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTAMINANT REMOVAL BY SOLVENT LEACHING Abstract of the Disclosure Methods and systems for removing undesired contaminants from solids and liquid/solid slurries are disclosed. Solvent extraction techniques employ methanol as a solvent for extracting arsenical contaminants from various solids and producing purified, crystallized arsenic trioxide. Spent methanol solvent can be regenerated and recycled for further solvent extraction. These and similar systems can also be used to remove undesirable constituents from soils. AWSS1699 54417/2
