A spinal implant for treating lumbar spinal stenosis or as an adjunct to spinal fusion. The implant includes a body portion having an interior cavity. A plurality of locking wings are adapted and configured to move between a stowed position retracted within the interior cavity of the body portion and a deployed position extended from the interior cavity of the body portion. In the deployed position, the wings fix the implant in a selected interspinous space. A cable and wheel arrangement moves the plurality of locking wings from the stowed position to the deployed position and a ratchet/pawl assembly prevents backward movement of the wings.
L'invention concerne un implant rachidien pour traiter une sténose spinale lombaire ou en tant qu'élément auxiliaire d'une spondylodèse. L'implant comprend une partie de corps ayant une cavité intérieure. Plusieurs ailes de verrouillage sont adaptées et configurées pour se déplacer entre une position de stockage, dans laquelle elles sont rétractées à l'intérieur de la cavité intérieure de la partie de corps, et une position déployée, dans laquelle elles sont étendues à partir de la cavité intérieure de la partie de corps. Dans la position déployée, les ailes fixent l'implant dans un espace interépineux sélectionné. Un dispositif de câble et de roue déplace les différentes ailes de verrouillage de la position de stockage à la position déployée et un ensemble cliquet/rochet empêche un mouvement des ailes vers l'arrière.
