A connection management system comprises a plurality of sockets (1, 2) for receiving complement plugs provided on ends of cables for effecting interconnections between said sockets. Each said socket (1, 2) has an input contact (1a, 2a) and an output contact (lb, 2b), each of which are connected to a controller operable to control and monitor individually the logic state of said contacts (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b), said input and output contacts (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b) of a socket being electrically connected upon inserting a plug A, B into the socket (1, 2) so as to transmit the logic state from one of the input (1a, 2a) and output (1b, 2b) contacts to the other of said input (1a, 2a) and output (1b, 2b) contacts. Detection of a change of said logic state at said other of said input (1a, 2a) and output (1b, 2b) terminals is then indicative of the presence of a plug A, B therein. A signal is then provided to one of the input and output contacts of a socket (1, 2) and the other of said input and output contacts is then monitored for the presence of said signal in order to confirm the presence of a plug A, B in the socket (1, 2).
La présente invention concerne un système de gestion de connexion comprenant plusieurs connecteurs logiciels (1, 2) pour recevoir des fiches complémentaires placées aux extrémités de câbles afin de permettre des interconnexions entre lesdits connecteurs logiciels. Chaque connecteur logiciel (1, 2) présente un contact d'entrée (1a, 2a) et un contact de sortie (1b, 2b), chacun d'eux est connecté à un dispositif de commande conçu pour commander et contrôler individuellement l'état logique des contacts (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b), les contacts d'entrée et de sortie (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b) d'un connecteur logiciel étant électriquement connecté lors de l'insertion d'une fiche (A, B) dans le connecteur logiciel (1, 2) de manière à transmettre l'état logique depuis le contact d'entrée (1a, 2a) ou le contact de sortie (1b, 2b) vers le contact d'entrée (1a, 2a) ou le contact de sortie (1b, 2b). La détection d'une modification de l'état logique au niveau du contact d'entrée (1a, 2a) et du contact de sortie (1b, 2b) indique la présence d'une fiche (A, B). Un signal est alors envoyé à l'un des contacts d'entrée ou de sortie d'un connecteur logiciel (1, 2) et l'autre contact d'entrée ou de sortie est ensuite contrôlé afin de détecter la présence du signal de manière à confirmer la présence d'une fiche (A, B) dans le connecteur logiciel (1, 2).
