A weed harvester has a frame. Downwardly directed air nozzles are mounted on the frame. The frame has buoyancy tanks which may be filled with water to allow the frame sink to the floor of a water body. Air supplied to the air nozzles form an air compressor escapes from the air nozzles as air jets. The air jets scour the floor of the water body of vegetation. The vegetation is carried to the surface in a column of rising air bubbles where it can be collected. The weed harvester may be pulled along the floor of a water body with a boat, a shore mounted winch, a tractor or the like. The air nozzles are preferably on spring loaded mounts so that they are not damaged if they encounter underwater obstacles. The weed harvester preferably includes a V-shaped air driven tiller which moves debris out of the path of the weed harvester.
