ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In general, intrusion detecting devices for actuation by the opening of a door or window are somewhat complicated and/or built-in, making replacement or repairs difficult. A simple solution to the problems inherent to existing devices includes a bracket for mounting on a wall adjacent to a door or window, a body defined by a base and post mounted on the bracket, a rotor mounted for rotation on the top end of the post, a microswitch on the body connected to an alarm, cam projections on the rotor for closing the switch when the rotor is rotated, and an arm extending outwardly from the rotor into the path of travel of a door or window during opening, so that when the door or window is opened the alarm is actuated.
