A method of establishing a trustworthiness level of a participant in a communication connection between a first communication partner and a second communication partner is proposed whereby the communication behavior is adapted to the established trustworthiness level. The participant is equipped with a trustworthiness certificate and a therefrom separated securely stored participant private key. The first communication partner receives the trustworthiness certificate from the participant wherefrom the trustworthiness level is derived and established. The first communication partner tests whether the trustworthiness certificate belongs to the participant by using the participant private key. In case the trustworthiness certificate is confirmed by the test to belong to the participant, the first communication partner communicates the established trustworthiness level to the second communication partner. Then, at least one parameter of the communication behavior is chosen in dependence of the established trustworthiness level.
Cette invention propose un procédé permettant d'établir un niveau de confiance accordé à un participant dans une connexion de communication entre un premier partenaire et un second partenaire de communication, le comportement en communication étant alors adapté au niveau de confiance établi. Le participant est doté d'un certificat de confiance et une clé privée stockée en sécurité et séparée du certificat lui est associée. Le premier partenaire de communication reçoit du participant le certificat de confiance à partir duquel est dérivé et établi le niveau de confiance. Le premier partenaire de communication procède à un test pour déterminer si le certificat de confiance appartient à ce participant en utilisant la clé privée qui lui est associée. Si le certificat de confiance est confirmé par le test comme appartenant à ce participant, le premier partenaire de communication communique le niveau de confiance établi au second partenaire de communication. Ensuite, au moins un paramètre du comportement en communication est sélectionné en fonction du niveau de confiance ainsi établi.
