The invention relates to a printing mechanism the printing head (1) of which is applied at a generally constant pressure against a surface of an object to be printed. To this end both the printing head (1) and the pressure cylinder (6) are mounted on pivotable levers (2, 7, 8) connected to each other by springs (9, 13). Said printing mechanism may be used especially in postal franking machines.

A cet effet, la tête d'impression (1) et le rouleau presseur (6) sont montés sur des leviers pivotants (2, 7, 8) reliés par des ressorts (9, 13).
