A process for preparing a composite particulate material includes the steps of providing a particulate primary material (16) having a primary softening temperature; providing a particulate support material (18) having a support softening temperature; providing a particulate binder material (20) having a softening temperature which is less than the primary softening temperature and the support softening temperature; mixing the primary material (16), the support material (18) and the binder material (20) so as to provide a substantially uniform mixture; and heating the mixture to a temperature greater than or equal to the softening temperature of the binder material and less than the primary softening temperature and the support softening temperature, whereby the binder material binds the primary material to the support material so as to provide a composite particulate material.

Procédé de préparation d'un matériau particulaire composite consistant à produire un matériau primaire particulaire (16) ayant une température de ramollissement primaire; à produire un matériau support particulaire (18) ayant une température de ramollissement support; à produire un matériau liant particulaire (20) ayant une température de ramollissement inférieure à la température de ramollissement primaire et à la température de ramollissement support; à mélanger le matériau primaire (16), le matériau support (18) et le matériau liant (20) de façon à obtenir un mélange pratiquement homogène; et à chauffer ce mélange à une température supérieure ou égale à la température de ramollissement du matériau liant et inférieure à la température de ramollissement primaire et à la température de ramollissement support, le matériau liant permettant ainsi de lier le matériau primaire au matériau support de façon à obtenir un matériau particulaire composite.
