A filter making apparatus includes a positioning device having a passageway therethrough, with the passageway guiding a continuous flavor element (70) such as a continuous strand of textile material from an inlet of the passageway to an outlet of the passageway. A liquid flavorant (70) is introduced into the passageway at a desired flow rate and the strand of material carries the supplied liquid flavorant out of the positioning device at a rate substantially equal to the desired flow rate.
L'invention concerne un appareil de fabrication de filtres comprenant un dispositif de positionnement présentant un passage guidant un élément aromatisé continu, tel qu'un ruban continu de matériau textile à partir d'une admission du passage vers une sortie du passage. Un aromatisant liquide est introduit dans le passage à un débit souhaité et le ruban de matériau retire l'aromatisant liquide alimenté du dispositif de positionnement à une vitesse sensiblement égale au débit souhaité. Une partie du passage peut former un bain de l'aromatisant liquide alimenté dans le passage via une admission distincte à approximativement la pression atmosphérique. Une partie du dispositif de positionnement guide le ruban de matériau dans le bain ou guide le ruban de manière qu'il passe le long du fond du passage et le ruban saturé ou partiellement saturé de matériau sort ensuite d'une sortie du passage en direction d'un point dans la voie du matériau de mèche de filtre transformé de manière à former un bâtonnet-filtre.
