A locking mechanism for preventing movements of the dump body of a dump truck is described herein. The locking mechanism is designed to maintain the dump body in the transport position when the truck is on the road to thereby prevent slight movements of the dump body with respect to the frame of the truck. The locking mechanism includes a body and a locking arm pivotally mounted to the body. The locking arm is reciprocately pivotable between locking and unlocking positions. When it is in its locking position, the locking arm contacts a lateral projecting portion of the dump body to prevent movement of the dump body. A pneumatic cylinder is used to pivot the locking arm between its locking and unlocking positions.
Cette invention concerne un mécanisme de verrouillage servant à prévenir les mouvements de la caisse d'un camion à benne basculante. Le mécanisme de verrouillage est conçu pour maintenir la caisse en position de transport lorsque le camion circule sur la route et empêcher les légers déplacements de la caisse par rapport au châssis du camion. Le mécanisme de verrouillage se compose d'un corps et d'un bras de verrouillage monté à pivot sur ledit corps. Le bras de verrouillage est mobile entre une position de verrouillage et une position de déverrouillage. Dans la première position, il touche une saillie latérale de la caisse pour empêcher celle-ci de bouger. Un vérin pneumatique assure le pivotement du bras de verrouillage entre ses positions de verrouillage et de déverrouillage.
