INVENTORS Enzo Cavalieri D'ORO Lorenzo MIGLIOLI Massimo RIVOLTA ABSTRACT A directive microwave coupler, that is adapted to operate within the frequency range of a few MegaHertz to tens of GigaHertz comprises a four door network formed of two lines having a width AP and a mutual coupling zone therebetween of length L that imparts directivity to the coupling. The coupling zone is a microstrip structure having a sub-length L, within the coupling zone that is of a reduced length and lower than 2/4 of the total area (AP.L'); each line has its capacitive coupling increased relative to the other by adding a centrally concentric enlargement widening the intercapacitive coupling between the lines.
