Disclosed is a culture plate (4) which includes a splash guard (24) for directing liquid flows away from a top edge of a base sidewall (8) and back into the base (6). The splash guard (24) can be attached to either the base (6) or a lid of the culture plate (4). The splash guard (24) can include a baffle (26) attached permanently or removably to the inner surface of the base sidewall (8) and extending inwardly and downwardly at an angle to the base sidewall (8). The baffle (26) can be integral with the base sidewall (8). The splash guard (24) can also include a support bracket configured to hang on the top edge of the base sidewall (8), with the baffle (26) attached to the support bracket. Also disclosed is a splash guard (24) which can be inserted within or attached to the base (6) of a standard culture plate (4).

L'invention présente une boîte d'ensemencement (4) pourvue d'un pare-projections (24) destiné à écarter les flux liquides du bord supérieur d'une paroi latérale (8) et à les refouler vers la base (6).
