The invention provides a process for the removal of CO2 from a gas, the process comprising the steps of : (a) removing CO2 from the gas by contacting the gas with absorbing liquid in an absorber to obtain absorbing liquid enriched in CO2 and a purified gas; (b) heating absorbing liquid enriched in CO2; (c) contacting heated absorbing liquid enriched in CO2 with a stripping gas at elevated temperature in a regenerator to obtain regenerated absorbing liquid and a hot gas stream enriched in CO2; wherein at least part of the absorbing liquid enriched in CO2 is heated through external heat exchange with the hot gas stream enriched in CO2.

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour l'élimination de CO2 à partir d'un gaz, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : (a) éliminer le CO2 du gaz par mise en contact du gaz avec un liquide absorbant dans un absorbeur pour obtenir un liquide absorbant enrichi en CO2 et un gaz purifié; (b) chauffer le liquide absorbant enrichi en CO2; (c) mettre en contact le liquide absorbant chauffé enrichi en CO2 avec un gaz de stripping à une température élevée dans un régénérateur pour obtenir un liquide absorbant régénéré et un courant de gaz chaud enrichi en CO2; au moins une partie du liquide absorbant enrichi en CO2 étant chauffée par échange de chaleur externe avec le courant de gaz chaud enrichi en CO2.
