A Masonry device to facilitate the placement of wire meshing above subflooring. The device enables proper spacing from the subfloor, while providing a rapid means of securing the wire meshing in place. This apparatus is a spike that is hammered into the ground by means of an applicator tool up to its stabilising shoulder. The wire mesh is clamped via the hook which is above the shoulder.
