The invention concerns a reconstructed wooden beam characterised in that it essentially comprises a central structure or core (1) and an external covering (2) secured to said central structure or core (1), said central structure or core (1) being made from pieces of wood (4) of at least one species, and in that part of the pieces of wood (3, 4) constituting the central structure or core (1) and the external covering (2) respectively has been previously heated at high temperature. The invention is useful for the decorative and structural construction of buildings.

L'invention concerne une poutre de bois de type reconstitué caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte essentiellement une structure centrale ou âme (1) et un habillage extérieur (2) solidarisé à ladite structure centrale ou âme (1), ladite structure centrale ou âme (1) étant réalisée à partir de pièces de bois (4) d'au moins une essence, et en ce qu'une partie des pièces de bois (3, 4) réalisant respectivement la structure centrale ou âme (1) et l'habillage extérieur (2) a été préalablement chauffée à haute température. La présente invention trouve son application dans la décoration et les structures de construction dans le bâtiment.
