A packaging for pourable contents is described that is made of paper, plastic foil or the like flexible material, in the form of a sack or bag closed on both ends. To remove the contents of the package, a pouring outlet is to be made by the consumer in a transitional area between one of the two closed sack ends and the adjacent narrow side wall of the sack. In the area essentially diagonally opposite to the pouring outlet to be made of the other of the two closed sack ends, a holding device is provided which is also made of a flexible material and usually extends inside the outer contour of the sack. To remove the contents, however, the holding device can be pulled out of the sack with a part forming an outer handle and used as a pouring aid.
