The inventive method consists in forming a difference (D1) between left and right braking commands (FG, FD), in converting said difference (D1) into an additional control command (D2) for a rudder (16) and for a steerable nose gear (4) and in applying said additional control command (D2) to said rudder (16) and steerable nose gear (4) according to both following conditions: the difference (D1) is greater than a first threshold and the combined control command transmitted to the rudder and steerable nose gear (4) by a rudder bar is less than a second threshold.

Selon l'invention : on forme la différence (D1) entre les ordres de freinage gauche et droit (FG, FD) ; on transforme ladite différence (D1) en un ordre de commande (D2) additionnel pour la gouverne de direction (16) et pour le train avant directeur (4) ; et on applique ledit ordre de commande additionnel (D2) à ladite gouverne de direction (16) et audit train avant directeur (4), à la double condition que : ladite différence (D1 ) est supérieure à un premier seuil ; et l'ordre de commande combiné adressé par le palonnier à ladite gouverne de direction et audit train avant directeur est inférieur à un second seuil.
